Open source with Python

Today, I started working on a new project which should eventually become a widely used software. This is an open source project that a friend and I started some time ago but did not have the time and motivation to carry on working on it.

In the last couple of weeks, we decided that it would be great to revive it and hopefully finish it now that we both have started learning more software development. Actually, the project is based on Python as it's the main language we both use now on a daily basis. Will show the screenshot later in the week once the interface is complete.

To even complicate things, we have imported the code into SVN for the first time - this is an awesome experience and we both loving it.

Learning Software Development

This is my third post, I have been looking into software development with Python and Ruby as they seem to be the most popular languages I hear about more often online.

In my quest to learn these languages, I'm spending more time on forums and newsgroups to see what people think and share with each other. This is by far the most interesting and challenging way so far to learn about software development. Not only does one get to pick the brains of top-class developers, you also get to see solutions to questions asked by others that you were too afraid to ask yourself.

Adsense Sign up

I don't know if  this is a wise move, but I just followed Google's suggestion and signed up for an Adsense account. Although, I've seen it used online, but I'm not totally sure how it works so take it easy while I test them out.

What ever happens, I will just keep an eye out - and follow suggestions that you might throw this way. If you have cool tips on how it works, please let me know.

Hello World

Hello world, this is my first blog ever, and I haven't got much to say yet. As time goes on, I will sped more time on it and tell you about myself. 

In the meantime, just wanted to say hi to the blogosphere and to see what the fuss is about with blogging. Now that yours truly is here, please check back soon to see if I've finally found something interesting to talk about.
